Welcome to the DPDG

Next Meeting

April 12th – Annual Dinner – Gourmet evening for £20/head * bring some one with you!

Next Season – Ideas for our programme.

If there is any subject you would like to find out more about or any speaker you would like to hear please let us know as we are starting to put together next season’s programme

Welcome to Darlington Pig Discussion Group which was has been going for over 40 years and has members from all around the Northeast.
We are an informal group who have six meetings a year and invite widely respected speakers from our industry to address our meetings.

Featured subjects may include: nutrition, veterinary issues, breeding, environment/housing and topical production issues.

There is also, perhaps the most popular subject, ‘my unit’, where one of the producers leads a ‘virtual’ tour of their unit. Using video footage or photos, they can discuss the successes of their unit and share an invaluable source of hindsight!
It also provides a chance to discuss potential improvements with other producers. Talking about successes and difficulties with like-minded people, who have many years of experience, is priceless. The group is open to questions and the resulting discussion can often go on well after the meeting has officially closed, helped by an excellent hot buffet.

Just come along to one of our advertised meetings and join in, looking forward to meeting you.
